
Boston, August 9, 2010 – Kathleen Waslov has been appointed Senior Vice President and Senior Resource Consultant at Willis, effective immediately. She will be located in Boston and will work jointly with the Captive Consulting and Multinational Employee Benefits Practices, reporting to Les Boughner, Managing Director, Consulting and Captive Management Practice and LeAnne Stefl, Director of Global Client Advocacy – Multinational Employee Benefits.
Kathleen’s focus, as an industry expert for Employee Benefit Captive arrangements, will be to work with and advise Willis clients in discussing their options regarding Captives and/or other funding alternatives for Employee benefit programs.
Corporations are increasingly looking at their Captives with respect to global Employee Benefit programs. In light of this, Kathleen’s role will be to lead Willis’ efforts and thought leadership surrounding these opportunities. She has been publicized widely in various trade journals and has been a frequent speaker at major conferences. Kathleen was instrumental in the ground breaking Department of Labor (DOL) approval for a Global 100 company to include their US Employee Benefits programs in a Captive.
Kathleen joins Willis from Towers Watson where she was an Advisor to organizations on solutions for financing large Employee Benefit liabilities. Earlier in her career she worked for Credit Suisse Group and Liberty Mutual. She has a BA in Mathematics, with distinction from the University of Virginia, and an M.S. in Operations Research and Analysis from the University of North Carolina. Kathleen resides in Marblehead, Massachusetts.
