What you can do with your mis sold PPIs

Obviously the PPI can be a very useful service. If you’re sick, it is necessary to cover the loan bills, the credit card bills and even mortgage payments. Unfortunately, lenders have abused the sale of PPI and sell it to customers who are not covered by the exclusions. It was a financial disaster for million people in the United Kingdom.

The adding of mis sold PPI into people’s loans or credit cards is one of the way lenders use. Consumers didn’t notice what they bought. As usual it is hidden in small print, and customers end up paying for a PPI coverage that will not protect them.

This complement can seriously increase the total loan amount and then consumers will find it difficult to repay. Sometimes lenders make people take PPI telling them that their loan or credit card application will not be approved unless they buy PPI. But you need to mention that PPI is always additional.

The terms of such policy does not provide coverage for pre-existing diseases in most cases. This policy makes no value to people with pre-existing conditions. If they try to claim that they will be refused. The mis selling of PPI is one of the biggest traps in the financial sector and destroyed the faith many people had in the whole economic system.

Now, when the problem of mis sold PPI is known banks are under serious pressure to compensate customers their money. If you said you had to have PPI or were mis-sold the policy for a number of other reasons you may request a refund of your money. Read more…

What is the Difference Between SR22 and Automobile Liability?

Difference Between a SR-22 and Liability Insurance

  1. SR-22 is not a type of insurance. An SR-22 is a form the insurance company must file with the state that shows proof of financial responsibility in regard to the state minimum insurance laws.
  2. Definition of an SR-22

  3. The majority of states have requirements regarding the minimum amount of insurance drivers must carry. If a driver is caught driving without insurance, their license will be suspended until they get insurance. When they do, the insurance company must file an SR-22 form with the state showing the driver is now in compliance with insurance laws.
  4. Liability Insurance

  5. Liability insurance provides coverage for the medical bills of any person you may hurt as the result of an accident that is deemed your fault. It also provides coverage for property damage should you run into a building, house or other property. Liability does not cover any of the damage to your vehicle or your medical bills.
  6. Revoking an SR-22

  7. There are only two states that do not currently have insurance requirements. It is important to understand the requirements of your state. Filing an SR-22 can be costly. If a driver lets their insurance lapse the insurance company must revoke the SR-22 and notify the state. If this happens, normally the state will suspend the license.

Evacuation Insurance Comes in Handy In the Event of Public Emergencies

If you are injured at a large public gathering or on public transportation like a plane, subway, or train, will you be able quickly evacuate and get the medical care you need? And if you are able to, will you be able to do so at an affordable rate? If you have medical evacuation insurance, then the answers to these questions are yes.

Last week, passengers on a train in New York were aboard during a fire at a nearby railway bridge. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the biggest problem that occurred was a delay in service.

But imagine if the fire had occurred in the train as opposed to the bridge. Such an emergency would have required significant medical evacuation support, and for passengers whose insurance did not cover such incidents, very expensive medical bills would have been handed out later.

With medical evacuation insurance, you will be protected financially from these types of incidents. Because while, as this particular event shows, you cannot predict when a public emergency may occur, you can at least try to be prepared.

Does Insurance Increase When Adding a 17 Year Old Driver?

    Risk

  1. Due to the risks and inexperience of new drivers, adding a 17-year-old driver to your policy may increase your insurance up to 50 percent. But, adding a teen to an existing policy is the cheaper route, since the average individual premium for a teenager is $1200.
  2. Formulas

  3. Insurance companies may have substantially different calculations to determine insurance rates; these formulas will determine how cheap or expensive your insurance will be. Get quotes from multiple companies to compare the best rates.
  4. Other Considerations

  5. Insurance companies may also consider different factors when determining premiums for teens, including the need for the insurance, the insurance type required, information concerning the vehicle, the average distance driven, whether the teen is the primary driver and the teen’s academic record.
  6. Fluctuation

  7. Once you cover your teen driver, rates will go either up or down throughout the years. Insurance rates generally come down as the teenager gets older. Traffic violations will increase the insurance premiums.

Florida Auto Insurance Penalties for Speeding Tickets

  1. speed camera image by Horticulture from Fotolia.com  Speeding can be electronically recorded. Speeding is the most common traffic offense in the state of Florida, and getting one could affect your insurance rates. The insurance penalties for a speeding ticket in Florida will depend on a number of factors, such as how far over the posted limit you were traveling, your driving history, and the level of risk you are assigned by your insurance provider. First-time offenses may be forgiven, but serious or frequent ones are grounds for cancellation.
  2. 1 to 15 Miles Over Limit

  3. Traveling less than 10 miles over the limit is considered a minor infraction by the Florida DMV, and assessed three points on your driver record. If this is a first offense, you may not face any repercussions on your insurance premiums at all. If it is not a first offense, or other factors are involved, the premiums may increase accordingly. The important consideration is going to be the points on your driving history, not a ticket for a minor offense unless such offenses become the practice rather than the exception.
  4. 16 MPH or More Over Limit

  5. The Florida DMV assesses four points against those traveling more than 15 miles over the posted limit. When the points have been processed, your insurance rates are likely to go up a little.
